In the words of Albert Einstein, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” The sentiment encapsulates the essence of Anthony Cellitti, a loving husband to his wife, Rachel, father to his son, Czargent, and an esteemed paramedic educator.

It is with deep sorrow and sense of loss that we announce Anthony’s unexpected passing.  He was 54 years old. Anthony was a loyal, generous and reliable man, a dedicated husband and father and professional with a larger-than-life persona. He was a pillar of strength for his family and the go-to person for friends in need of counsel and support,

Anthony was born on July 17, 1969, in Rockford, IL.  He was a paramedic course coordinator in the area for 30 years. Anthony was a dedicated figure in the EMS community, serving in South Beloit, East Dubuque, IL, and Advocate Aurora Health – Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL. His unique teaching style touched the lives of countless students. He held many certificates in the area of security, safety and in fire-related field.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Cellitti, his proud son, Czargent Stevenson, brothers Patrick (Heather) and Robert (Felicia) Anderson, sister Amy (Branden) Anderson, eight nephews and two nieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins, his inlaws, Leslie and Micheal Hipp and supportive sister-in-law, Casey (Matthew) Leonard.

He is preceded in death by his mother Kathleen (Hamm) Anderson.

Anthony’s memory will live on, not only through his family, but also through the countless lives he touched during his career in the EMS/fire community.

A Celebration of Life for Anthony will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the McCorkle Funeral Home, 767 North Blackhawk Boulevard, Rockton, IL. We invite all those who knew and loved Anthony to join us as we celebrate his remarkable life and legacy.
