VFW Post 2955, 11385 2nd Street in Roscoe, hosted a hearty breakfast for hundreds of participants of the annual Jaimie Cox Motorcycle Rally on Saturday morning, August 23, 2025. Following breakfast, riders and their families gathered in the parking lot to receive instructions and information. Pastor Dan Herman welcomed riders and wished them safe travel.

Riders were given the signal, "Kickstands up," at precisely 10:30 am. American flags lined Second Street as 290 participants,190 motorcycles, and 11 vehicles roared out of the VFW parking lot. Officers from the Winnebago County Police Department escorted the riders and kept the pace.

The first stop was in Mt. Morris, and continued through Byron and Oregon. This year, riders also made a stop in Durand. The participants concluded their ride at Crazy Times Pub and Grill at 1520 Glen Forest Drive, Machesney Park, Illinois.

The Jaimie Cox Foundation was established in 2019 by family and friends to honor Jaimie's life and service. Each year, the number of riders increases. The Rockford police department patrol officer grew up in South Beloit and Roscoe. He was a graduate of Hononegah High School. Jaimie was killed in the line of duty on November 5, 2017. This year marks the seventh year of the fundraising event.

The foundation sponsors local events and raises funds that support veterans, first responders, and underprivileged children within the surrounding communities. "We do this in Jaimie's name."

A 5K run and two-mile walk sponsored by the Jaimie Cox Foundation will be held on October 18, 2025, at Roscoe Middle School, 6121 Elevator Road in Roscoe, and along the Stone Bridge Trail.

All proceeds from the motorcycle rally, 5K Run, and two-mile walk benefit the Jaimie Cox Foundation Scholarship fund.
