On Tuesday January 14, 2025 from Rockton, IL at Hononegah High School, the Indians girls basketball team got the 60-46 win over Rockford Auburn to extend their 64-game conference winning streak.

The Indians were led in scoring by junior Jordan Dimke with 27 points. She was 10 of 13 from the free throw line, got a 3 point basket, and had 7 buckets in the paint. The only other player who scored in double figures was freshman Ainsley Hughes who had two 3-pointers and finished with 14 points. As a team, Hononegah had six 3-point baskets and was 16 of 20 from the free throw line. 

The game was a physical contest between the top two teams in the NIC-10 conference. Head Coach Jason Brunke said he told his team how proud he was on them as it was a “very physical tough game that the officials let both teams play.” 

Next game for Hononegah is at Rockford Jefferson on Friday night January 17th 2025, Tip time is set for 6:30 pm.
