Tucked between First Community Credit Union and Elite Dental Clinic in Roscoe’s Main Street Square, sits the 3R’s Learning Materials Center.  The little store, at 5388 Williams Dr., is chock full of appealing learning and teaching materials focusing on education.

Teachers and parents can find all sorts of learning products including educational toys for early learning and infants & toddlers, flash cards, activity books, resources for parents and teachers, and of course, games.

Purchased by Jane Erikson in 2005, the 3R’s was located in Edgebrook Center in Rockford.  It was a popular destination for many years.  Her daughter, Stacy Fry, helped her mother run the store.

Fry grew up in Rockford and graduated with a business degree from Concordia University. She has three children and nine grandchildren.

When Erikson passed away in 2017, Fry decided to keep her mother’s legacy alive and to continue operating the store at the Edgebrook location in Rockford.

On July 1, 2021, Fry moved the store to Roscoe.

Fry appreciates the small-town, friendly atmosphere in Roscoe. And now the store is more centrally located for parents and teachers in Beloit, South Beloit, Rockton, Roscoe, and Rockford.

Cami Richards works part-time in the store.  As an early childhood teacher, Richards is a proponent of what 3R’s has to offer.  She is the owner of home-based Intuitive Play Day Care Center.

Fry said she hopes to collaborate with store owners in  Main Street Square in bringing awareness of all the shopping center has to offer.

3R’s is open Monday-Friday – 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

For more information, email Stacy or call her at her new phone number 815-270-0406.
