38 Athletes for Hononegah earned Honorable Mention for the NIC-10 Spring 2025 Sports Season.
A total of 38 athletes garnered honors in the spring of 2025.
The Spring 2025 Hononegah High School athletic department was busy giving out all-conference honors in Baseball, Boys Tennis, Girls Soccer, Boys Track and Field, Girls Track and Field, and Volleyball.
A total of 38 athletes garnered honors in the spring of 2025. Not to be left out was Hall of Fame Coach Matt Simpson, getting the NIC-10 Boys Baseball Coach of the Year.
In Baseball, Ian Blankenship, Parker Danielson, and Jakob DeLeo were given all-conference honors. Honorable Mention went to Angelo Cassata and Nicholas Smith. The NIC-10 Coach of the Year Honors were Head Coach Matt Simpson.
The Hononegah Boys Tennis saw Braden Monson getting conference MVP honors, and he was joined by teammates Karl Hellinga and Owen Zeiter.
The Hononegah Girls Soccer scored three all-conference athletes, Leah Hopper, Sophia Plourde, and Alizabeth Walker.
The Hononegah Girls' Softball saw three players land on the spring 2025 all-conference team: Kaelyn Kelly, Mali McMaster, and Irelyn O’Brien. The Indian softball team also included Zoey Calhoun, Peyton Klikno, and Aislynn Palmer.
The Hononegah Boys' Track and Field team had quite a springtime. The Indians had a couple of MVPs in Jacob Benson and Chase Cutler. Cristian Lobato, Sam Hagg, Landon Samuelson, and Coen Lee were all a part of the all-conference team. Ryan Fritsch was an honorable mention for the spring of 2025. The NIC-10 Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year was the Indians' Mark McLarty.
The Hononegah Girls Track and Field team got to honor eight athletes. Jordan Dimke, Kylie Simpson, Kali Schleis, Chidiuto Ezeani, and Harper Vanderheyden. Getting honorable mention were Hannah Furman, Lucy Hodges, and Sophia Frommer.
