Three senior Hononegah Indians to compete at the collegiate level
Hononegah's Isaiah Houi will play D1 football at Eastern Illinois University.

Since the calendar turned to March, a couple of athletes at Hononegah High School in Rockton, IL have made it official and signed their paperwork to attend college.

Isaiah was a two-time all-conference performer at both WR and DB for the Hononegah Indian football team. He was also an outstanding basketball player for the Indians as well earning a first-team nod in 2022-2023.

March 5 saw Landon Seymour sign with John Vodenlich. Coach Vodenlich has led UW-Whitewater to 386 wins since taking over the program in 2004. Thirty former Warhawks have signed professional contracts while Coach John Vodenlich has been a part of the UW-Whitewater program.

March 6 saw Gabe Kohl sign with the Wisconsin Lutheran football program. Gabe joins former Hononegah Indian Colton Heinrich on the football team. Gabe is a 2023 first-team all-conference performer who was part of a senior class for the Hononegah Indians that racked up 35 wins overall and 25 NIC 10 conference wins. Wisconsin Lutheran does play Rockford University and if the online schedule is correct. Gabe and Colton will be playing in Rockford early in the 2024 college football season.
